Whichever IOL you choose, rest assured that cataract surgery is one of the safest and most effective procedures performed today. Your surgeon will make a tiny incision in your eye, remove the natural clouded lens, and replace it with a new lens. The actual surgery only takes minutes but the results are permanent and life changing. Most patients are back to their normal activities the very next day.

If you require cataract surgery in both eyes, surgery for the second eye will usually be scheduled a few weeks following the first eye.
